Introduction
I graduated from Boston University in May, 2008 with a BS in communication and a concentration in public relations from the College of Communication. I am currently the Project Management Assistant at Boston University's Office of New Media and am also managing the public relations for HubSpot, an Internet marketing company based in Cambridge, MA. I am also continuously seeking PR/social media/marketing consulting opportunities. Please feel free to contact me!
Interest
Professors and guest lecturers like Larry Weber sparked my interest in social and new media in the fall semester of my senior year in college. Since then, I have participated in and tracked a number of blogs, monitored trends and attended classes, events and conferences. Now I'm lucky enough to make it part of my career!
Blogging
I created my main, personal blog, Pamelog, in November, 2007. With the tagline, "mouthfuls of (social media) mutterings," Pamelog offered my insight into and experience with topics relating to new media's impact on public relations and marketing. Today I actively contribute to a group blog (Our American Shelf Life) about being a "digital native." I formally mangaged both the Schneider Associates corporate blog, LaunchPR, and the blog of SA's newest social marketing offering, Mommies Clique. Most of my blogging time lately has been invested in the newest addition to my blogging repertoire, Little Baby Lump, which serves as a virtual baby book for my new baby, Emmett.
Other Passions
My life is not completely centered around public relations and social media, although you can learn about most of my other hobbies through my social media utters. When I'm not pregnant, some of these other passions include running, fitness and vegetarianism. I completed my first Half Marathon in October, 2007.
